Would be great if we could have an app on our devices such as an iPhone, where we can post entries on our blogs, edit comments, make some adjustments and things like that, so u can blog everywhere, upload pictures everywhere, and tell all your friends about SnapPages, and how easy is to blog and make their own site, even in their iPhones...
What do you think about it?

One minor problem. The Snappages UI relies on Flash and Flash will never appear on iPod/iPhone/iPad.
I do hope that Steve is considering alternatives to Flash for the future. Not being on iPad would be problematic. But also, being tied to Adobe Flash is potentially dangerous. I'm sure the back end is just database driven, and there are fewer and fewer actual Flash elements on the sites we create. A nice, HTLM5 drive UI would protect the service from any potential problems Flash may cause in the future.

One of the things I'm greatly looking forward to with the new version of the flash authoring system will be that it will have the ability to export native iphone/iPad/iPod applications. This means that all of our (since they are built in flash) should be very easy to port over once this is released so we'll definitely be looking to take advantage of that.
As far as our choice to use flash over other technologies, I'm a firm believer in using the right tool for the right job. Flash is great at many things, and not at others so you will notice that some of our new apps like the domain tool and the developer central are not written in flash. But what flash does, it does well, and that's what I use it for. I'm keeping my eye on html5 so we'll see where that goes and evaluate it when it becomes a more widely used technology.

Now that apple has chopped off the ability to port adobe flash apps over to the iPad and iPhone OS, have you reevaluated your decision to take on html5 or other web standards to accommodate this OS? I absolutely love my snappages site, but I really wish I could blog and edit on my iPad. More importantly, I wish people who view my site could see the whole thing on their ipads/iPhones. My site currently has some flash banners embedded, which I feel are essential to the aesthetic of the site. But of course these appear as gaping holes in the site thanks to el jobso.

We are looking at ways to make the actual sites themselves more viewable on devices without flash, however the apps themselves won't be ported to html5 because it html5 can't handle some of the things that flash does. As much as people are touting html5 as a replacement for flash it's just honestly not the case. It might replace it for some things but there are still plenty of things that flash does and html5 doesn't that many are unaware of.

I really don't think there is any way around html5. My wife still gets errors inputing text in her Snappages text box and the mobile experience is poor. I would be willing to sacrifice whatever it is flash can do that html5 can't to cut down on repurposing an Android or Ipad version. Snappages can be very frustrating at times.

I agree, mobile support for viewing sites in html5 is huge! An iPad or android app to post blog posts would also be awesome!

As a new user of SnapPages, and a Mac user - of which my whole family has iPhones, iPods, iPads, etc.., mobile access is much needed. It is the future.
Steve, you have a great site here and with mobile access it would be over the top.

For those that are interested, the new files app is 100% html. We also have plans for coming up with some more apps that are "mobile friendly".

I plan on going out to expos and schools where I can sell my product. My home site is based on Squarespace, which is very powerful stuff, but lacks the simplicty that snappages brings to the table.
My sales pitch involves using an iPad and snappages, and if the two don't mix, then I will have to move on to another cms. I will certainly miss snappages if I have to leave, so I did some research.
As long as there is an internet connection and my work iMac is turned on or my local MBP is on, I can use a virtual machine app to run the site on my iPad. I will try it out and let you all know how it works. it looks a bit slow, but it does the trick. VMWare is the company that this app is built off of.
Looking forward to letting you all know how it goes. If this is a viable option, maybe we can all go complain about how Apple doesn't allow for flash support on their "Forward Thinking" ipad. Shouldn't all "forward thinkers" be focused on building off the past? Ayayay. Those two CEO's must not have gotten along well on the playgrounds as kids. Now Steve is jabbing Adobe in the side.

I know this isn't at all helpful, but I think people need to stop pushing the iPad app issue... Apple had a chance to release an amazing all-in-one solution and they released an amazing toy. Don't get me wrong, I love my iPad, but I think the idea of getting serious work done on one is just silly. Walk to the desk!

No offense, but if you can't do serious work on your iPad, you may not know how to use it (you may be referring to specific types of work, but you didn't mention any). Each month that goes by allows me to do more "serious work" on my iPad than before. No, I'm not using Photoshop or Final Cut, but there's plenty of "serious work" to be done that doesn't need those tools.

I guess full-featured Flash applications, with their massive system resource load, fall into this category.

This must be great news for us us with iDevices and for Snappages. Google made it easy for you now. What do you say at Snappages? Is this something that you could use?
Like some of the other said, it would at least be nice to make small changes like updating the blog and post some photos or correct some spelling errors.
I must say now that I paid for a developer account and have played with all parts of snappages, it's not that stable. It crashes quite often. If that is my Mac, flash or the code itself I don't know. Just hoping this great product will follow what's happening on the market. There are a lot of tablets owner out three and soon with iOS 5 you don't need to own a computer to use the device. Even Adobe are releasing photoshop on the iPad.
Anyway just saying that the flash days soon will end, and new customers maybe look somewhere else just because of Snappages is using flash.
