Which month is displayed after entering a new event?

I can't seem to find any rhyme or reason for which month's calendar is displayed after I enter an event. Sometimes it is the current month, which is not handy if one is entering a number of events in future months. Sometimes it is the month in which the event was just entered. Sometimes it seems (did not test this and pay close attention) to be a random month in which some events are entered.
I thin it should default to the month in which the last event was entered.
