Multiple pages?

I am puzzled over the fact that I keep creating multiple pages. I just want one version of each of the four pages, yet it seems like each time I do an edit, another version is created.
How do I just keep the ones that I want and get rid of the versions I don't?

Basically the versions you are seeing are simply backups of the pages that you have made. Backups are automatically saved everytime, in case you decide you liked it better the way you had it, or in case something gets saved wrong you can restore it later.
