Hi i am new to website design so please bear with me. I am looking to start a business website and am not sure if SnapPages is what I need or not. Hosting sites I have been looking at charge for a certain amount of storage and bandwidth, some are unlimited and some not. Is SnapPages this type of site or just a webpage design site? Thank You Jim

The answer is yes and no. SnapPages is a service that allows you to build and maintain your own website and those sites you create on SnapPages are hosted with us automatically. SnapPages is not a hosting company in the sense that you can't just upload anything you want. Does that make sense?

Hi thanks Steve. Yes that does answer my question. So the 1G of storage is for "info" on the web pages like photos? Also when you say you can't upload anything I want, what are you referring to?

I simply meant that right now there is only a way to upload images and not other file types. So for instance you can't currently upload things like documents to the site.

:)Since the last posting was in 2007--has anything new changed so you can add documents?

No nothing has changed on this. My suggestion for now is to get a free box.net account to upload files and then link to them on your SnapPages site.
P.S. I think the last post was actually not that long ago, you might have been looking at the "Join Date" next to my name since that's when I launched the forums.
