I customized the Theme but cannot get it to apply to my website. When I click on the theme button it shows the current theme I customized correctly. However, when I go to create my website it doesn't display the correct theme, just the default theme. What am I doing wrong?

I apply a new theme then customize the theme. Neither the new theme or customized theme shows; just the default. Also, when I save, for example, a tagline from the main "settings" menu, when I go back it doesn't save. It reverts to "welcome to my homepage" or whatever the default is. I am on Mac leopard. I've tried using the safari and firefox browsers with the same result. I've also tried running internet explorer on a virtual machine and still same result. Any suggestions on how to apply a customized theme would be appreciated.

Do you have the basic account or the premium account? It should work in both but it might help me for debugging purposes to know which one you are using.

Also do you notice that some changes to the theme save but not all or does nothing save? For instance can you pick a new theme you just can't customize it? Or you can change the colors but not other features?

I tried customizing the theme with the basic account, so I upgraded to a trial premium account but the same issue still existed. Despite clicking the "save" button, all elements of the theme remain unchanged when I go to edit the webpage in "My pages." I only got the "Site title" and "Tagline" to change, but that is only because I changed them using the "Settings" control panel. Changing the "site title" and "tagline" in "My Theme" does not apply the change. Also, just to clarify, when I click on customize theme, the thumbnail successfully displays the customized theme, but snappages does not apply the theme when I go to edit the webpage. Hopefully you'll be able to debug this issue because your website creator is awesome!

I got it to work!!! Instead of clicking "save" at the very end, I clicked the "save" button for each element I wanted to change (for example, click save after setting the colors; click save after setting the fill). Thank you for your support and your time, Steve!

Thanks for the update, I'm glad you found a work around but I would still like to fix whatever the issue is. When you tried to save each change individually, was there any one change that wouldn't save?

Hi. I ran a few tests as I was making the webpage.
Test #1: I tried to change both the Tagline and Graphics, both page elements showed up, however the transparency for Graphics (i only tried the butterfly one) did not change (remained at 0%).
Test #2: I edited just the banner on my page (adding pictures and text) and pressed save. When I returned to the main page for the website to save the work I had done on the banner, the "Save, and Preview" buttons did not work. Thus, I was unable to save my work on the banner. (only the cancel button worked). However, if I clicked on the Google Map web block, pressed edit, and then clicked on a blank spot on the page. Then the "Save" button as well as the "Preview" button started to work again and my work was saved.
I hope this helps you fix any bugs SnapPages may have. If you cannot recreate it, I can show you what I do using a screen recording program and send it to you. Perhaps this would help? I just graduated college so I have some free time on my hands so if you need some help I would be glad to help. Also, I can send you some detailed info on my computer if you need.
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I wonder if there is some notification system to see if any forums i have posted or replied to received a post?

Test #3: I enabled the Banner for my second page, but when the page loads it just says "Transferring ......" on the status bar of my web browser for the longest time and the banner never shows up. Just a blank white spot above the 3 slideshows I have shows up. I tested this on all three browsers that are installed on my computer: Safari, Opera, and Firefox. I have a 1.2mbps dl speed, usually only about 700kb/s on my connection so I don't think it's my internet speed that's the problem. I have since disabled the banner for the 2nd page, but it works fine for the 1st page.
The pictures I am using for the banner (except for the 1st picture that says G&D Discount Mart) are Full-sized 1600x1200 images from a digital camera. I plan to crop the rest of the pictures to decrease the file size and speed up load time like I did with the 1st picture. Maybe cropping the pictures would help?
I don't know why I'm having so many problems, but right now I Snappages is hands down the best-looking free wysiwyg website builder. And looks account for A LOT for a website. I actually plan to use a webhost and build a separate site (actually a blog) sort of from scratch (luckily there are templates!) in the near future. So if I am the only one having these problems don't even bother. I am actually hoping, for your sake, it is just me and that everybody trying out SnapPages is doing so without any trouble.
Feel free to contact me if you have any QS.

Thank you very much for the thorough testing. You have no idea how helpful that sort of stuff is. More then likely if you are having an issue there is at least a few others who are having them as well but I don't know about some of these unless someone tells me.
I actually found that having the google map on a page was causing the problem when trying to save the page and I believe that it should now be fixed. So let me know if anyone else is having an issue actually saving pages.
I'll look into the issue with the banners to see if I can track that one down.

Steve, I had a similar problem with my Links page. I found that I had to save after each link I added or else it would not save. This has happened to me on a few other pages as well. Once I starting saving each individual change things worked fine!
I didn't want to bother you with this since I found a way to make it work but I didn't think that it might help you to know that others were having similar problems.

I am having the same problem as the poster from the 20th...can't get my theme to save no matter which theme I choose. It saves my logo and colors, but doesn't save the header and tag line. Somtimes there is no text at all (just logo) and sometimes it is the default header and tagline.
I am going to go and try to save each item individually; but since other users are having the same issues...glad to know it's not "operator error" (on my part!!). :o
daviehighbands is our site.
I hope you can figure this out. Love snappages and am trying to get the site ready for a meeting in a couple of weeks to "sell" it to our group (as opposed to getting someone else to create our site). Thanks again.

Thanks for the update on this, I'm still trying to get to the bottom of this, so I'll update everyone when I think I have it figured out.

I think I found the problem and it should be fixed now. It seems that it would not save if you put any sort of punctuation marks in the tagline or title. Please test this out and let me know if anyone is still having issues with it. Thanks for all the help.
